Why should you be interested in this event?
CCDS is a consumer-directed, university affiliated centre dedicated to research, education and information dissemination on disability issues in Canada and internationally. We are a bridge between academic research and community organizations. We are actively engaged in projects that improve the lives of persons with disabilities in Canada and internationally. Come to hear about our current projects, join the discussion, and find out how you can get involved.
Teaching that day? Bring your students on a field trip to witness first hand how academic knowledge is applied in real-life settings!
Are you a student who would like to present a poster on a related topic? Contact Karen Schwartz for more information on how you can participate: kds22@shaw.ca

New Research Report
Literature Review on Measuring Inter-relationships between Disability and Job Retention; Career Progression
This document provides a thematic review and meta-analysis of general and disability-related literature in order to identify interrelationships between disability and job retention/career progression for Canadian working people. It develops four broad groups of macro- and micro-level variables that are considered in the literature to be strongly related to how employment histories evolve. The review provides direction for the development of a series of research questions addressing gaps in our understanding in this area.
