The University of Manitoba (U of M) dedicated the Centre as a tribute to the late Dr. Henry Enns, founding Executive Director of the Canadian Centre on Disability Studies (CCDS). Situated in the Education Building of the Fort Garry campus, the Centre houses the Interdisciplinary Masters Program in Disability Studies and the Office of University Accessibility.

The Masters Program and the Disability Studies Centre are the fruits of a dream that Henry had in the early 90s. It began to take shape with the formation of CCDS in 1995. Many dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly with Henry to shape the Masters Program in the ensuing years. This fall the program will take in its first group of students. Information on the program can be found at www.umanitoba.ca/disability_studies/
