Reflections from Past Small Grant Recipients

…“The funding from CCDS was integral to our ability to conduct the Winter Walkability project. Using a participatory action approach allowed us to explore relevant issues for River East seniors related to community mobility and created an opportunity for these seniors to be involved in policy decisions that affected their community participation.”

…“This grant enabled me to explore a topic that has been widely ignored in disability research. ‘Parenting with a Disability: Diversity, Barriers and Requirements’ gave voice to the experiences of ethno-cultural and racialized parents with disabilities by sharing their stories and highlighting recommendations to ensure a positive parenting experience. Thank you, CCDS, for taking a chance with a community-based researcher.”
